3 Ways to Do Eggs

Eating protein is also essential for weight loss and management, as it helps build lean muscle, which in turn, increases our calorie burn.

Eggs are packed with 13 essential vitamins and minerals, including iron, copper, selenium and zinc, as well as vitamins B2, B6, B12 and D. They also provide important omega-3 fatty acids and antioxidants. 

Here are three ways to incorporate eggs into your meal plan that are fast, easy and convenient.

1. Hard-boiled

Eat a hard-boiled egg or two with whole wheat or multigrain flatbread. Spread a light amount of cream cheese on the flatbread and top with some berries for an antioxidant and protein packed meal. Or eat hard-boiled eggs on the go for a filling and nutrient-rich snack.

2. Scrambled

This classic take on eggs is fast and easy but can be very delicious when done right. Mix in your favorite summer veggies or top with salsa, Sriracha or your favorite hot sauce for a spicy boost to your metabolism. Pair with a half a grapefruit, apple, banana or slice of low-carb toast such as Ezekiel’s sprouted grain bread.

3. Omelets

If you pack an omelet with some antioxidant- and fiber-rich veggies, you are destined to stay full for hours and will reap an array of healthy benefits. Add in everything from tomatoes, onions and spinach to mushrooms, bell peppers, scallions and avocado. Have a piece of fruit as your side and you’ve got a well-balanced meal to enjoy any time of day.
